The Club of Cambodian Journalists issued a statement last week expressing its desire to “share in the agony” resulting from the death of Hiro Muramoto, a 43-year-old Japanese photographer with the Thomson Reuters news agency who died after being shot in the chest on April 10 while covering violent demonstrations in Bangkok. The statement calls for Thai authorities to investigate the shooting and arrest and punish those responsible.
