Three Cambodians charged with the rape of an underage girl were released after a lack of evidence to prove their guilt, according to Duch Kimsorn, Presiding Judge of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court. Van Leak, 21, Keuth Sophannarith, 21, and Chan Rotha, 20, were arrested on May 4, 2010 in the Boeung Salang village of Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district, after complaints from the mother of a 12-year-old girl, who said that they had raped her daughter.
