Chinese envoy set to wind up term

Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jinfeng will soon finish her four-year posting in Cambodia, a Chinese Embassy spokesman confirmed on Sunday. Qian Hai, second secretary at the embassy, said Ambassador Zhang will finish her posting and return to China “in two months’ time”, but did not know when her replacement would be dispatched from Beijing. Zhang’s posting has coincided with a recent expansion in bilateral ties between Cambodia and China, which culminated in the signing of US$1.2 billion worth of economic aid agreements in December.
