T HE Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) celebrates Mine Awareness Day today. The

day, supported by First Prime Minister Norodom Ranariddh, will include concerts

and a parade through Phnom Penh. More than 1000 people including Maha Ghosananda

are expected to take part in the parade, from near the Independence Monument to

the National Museum. The Prime Minister and other dignitaries are scheduled to

give speeches. Mine aware ness activities are also being held in Battambang,

Kampot and Sisophon.
