Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday questioned a commune chief in the capital’s Russey Keo district for allegedly forging public documents.

Chroy Changvar commune chief Pich Saroeun appeared before an investigating judge to answer questions related to allegations he used fake documents to sell a plot of land.

Saroeun allegedly sold land in Chroy Changvar for hundreds of thousands of dollars without notifying the courts, as they divided property between him and his then-wife during divorce proceedings.
