A news brief in the August 1-14 issue of the Phnom Penh Post reported David Meng,

CEO of Cam-Tai Cambodia Electric Power Company, as saying that his company's proposed

72 MW power plant in Siem Reap would receive World Bank funding. A spokesman from

the International Finance Corporation, the investment arm of the World Bank, has

said Meng's company will not receive Bank funding.
