The countdown to commune council elections on June 3 is officially under way after a representative from the National Election Committee (NEC) inspected the printing of ballot papers yesterday.
More than 10.5 million voting slips will be printed in total for the 24 provinces.
NEC secretary-general Tep Nytha said 21 had been completed and the process would finish in just over a fortnight.
The cost of producing the ballot papers for 1,633 communes will be $1.6 million.
