The Danish Government has agreed to provide $4.18 million in funding for freshwater

fisheries research over the next six years. The grant will allow monitoring and research

for inland fisheries and an education program aimed at ensuring a sustainable resource.

An agreement was signed on July 13 between Denmark and the Mekong River Commission.
