The National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) has expressed concern that it will not have enough money to implement vital disaster preparedness plans this year. At a disaster reduction conference in Phnom Penh this week, NCDM Secretary-General Peou Samy said government funding had been insufficient. “NCDM currently has no food in stock to give to people affected by natural disasters,” he said.
