Domestic violence

A draft law to prevent domestic violence and protect its victims was approved

by the Council of Ministers June 14. It was submitted by the Ministry of Women's

and Veteran's Affairs, and is expected to go to the National Assembly shortly.

It was written with funding from the UN Development Program, and is the first

law that will deal with the issue.
