Hundreds of people demonstrated November 21 outside the Ministry of Social

Affairs demanding the return of deposits paid to secure the right to work on

construction projects for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Cambodia Consultant

Associates, a private company, took $500 deposit from each hopeful worker, who

also had to pay around $120 for other expenses. Around 1,200 workers hoped to

go, but are still here.
