Children line up during the inauguration of a new building at Romdeng primary school in Siem Reap province’s Srei Snam district last week. The construction of the six-classroom building, paid for with a private donation of US$100,000, was overseen by the NGO Plan International Cambodia. According to figures from the 2008 census, 33 percent of children aged 6 and up in Srei Snam district attended school.
