Embers burn from a fire that destroyed an entire city block in Russey Keo district this evening.

At least nine houses have been destroyed by an electrical fire that engulfed an entire city block in Russey Keo district last evening, according to Phnom Penh police chief Touch Naruth.

Police were unable to confirm any casualties or injuries from the blaze, which was brought under control after it leapt across street 907 in Tuol Sangke commune and engulfed neighbouring houses.

It was the second blaze to engulf properties in Russey Keo district in the past week.
