First law grads

Phnom Penh University's Faculty of Law and Economics graduated the first group of

11 Cambodian students to complete Lyon University's Bachelor Degree of Private Law

on August 28.

The Faculty was reopened in 1992 with the support of French Cooperation. While completing

a four-year Cambodian Bachelor of Law Degree, students were selected through competitive

examinations to participate in the Lyon program. Instruction was provided by French

resident teachers and visiting professors.

The best among these students will receive a scholarship to continue legal studies
