Foreign clinic reprieve

A Ministry of Health request to the Phnom Penh Municipal Government to crack

down on foreign-owned clinics has been put on hold temporarily. The Ministry of

Health issued a letter on June 11 requesting the municipality to close clinics

that did not comply with MOH regulations requiring them to have at least 20

patient beds and an 80% Cambodian staff, but later indicated that "exceptions"

to the regulations would be allowed.
