The 134th birthday anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, The Father of

the Indian Nation, took place on October 2, 2003. A ceremony was held in Phnom Penh

at the statue of Gandhi in the park in front of the Railway Station. HE P K Kapur,

Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, right, presides over the event attended by a robust

contingent of the more than 300-strong Indian community who live in the Kingdom.
