CAMBODIA climbed seven spots in an annual report on gender equality published yesterday by the World Economic Forum. The Global Gender Gap Report placed Cambodia at 97 out of 134 countries, behind neighbours Thailand (57) and Vietnam (72). Factors considered in preparing the rankings included wage gaps, differences in educational opportunities between women and men, the number of women in leadership roles and life expectancy for women, according to a press release issued yesterday.
