Government renews leaflet war

Propaganda leaflets designed to entice the Khmer Rouge to surrender are dropped from

a government Mi-17 helicopter over Battambang province. The leaftets, written some

time ago, call on the guerrillas to give up and join the new amalgamated Royal Cambodian

Army. The goverment is playing down fears of a dry season offensive by the Khmer

Rouge and says it can cope with any threat.
