The decision whether fugitive former Phnom Penh Police Chief Heng Pov will be deported
to Cambodia from Malaysia - where he has been in police custody since October 3 -
has been postponed until November 3.
If a third country offers Pov asylum, he will be able to avoid returning to Cambodia,
where he faces prison after conviction in absentia for alleged involvement in the
2004 assassination of Phnom Penh judge Sok Sethamony, said Pov's Malaysian lawyer,
N Sivananthan.
