Hun Sen congratulates Japan’s new leader

Prime Minister Hun Sen extended his congratulations to Japanese prime minister-elect Shinzo Abe in a con-gratulatory letter yesterday.

Abe, from the Liberal Democratic Party, won the election with a landslide majority. Hun Sen also expressed his confidence
in a continued relationship between Cambodia and Japan. 

“I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to promote closer ties between our two people and to bring greater progress in every field of collaboration between our two countries,” he wrote.
