India’s president ends six-day state visit

INDIAN president Pratibha Patil left Cambodia on Saturday following a state visit during which she promoted trade ties and other forms of bilateral cooperation. As part of the visit, Patil met with senior government officials and confirmed a US$15 million loan from the Export-Import Bank of India to support the Stung Tasal Water Resource Development Project in Kampong Speu province. Koy Kuong, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the visit had “enlarged and deepened” bilateral relations.
