Japan pledges cash for infrastructure

Japan is set to provide more than US$31 million in grants for infrastructure and environmental projects, the Japanese embassy said in a statement Tuesday. The release stated the grants will be signed by Foreign Minister Hor Namhong and Kuroki Masafumi, the Japanese ambassador to Cambodia, at a ceremony on Thursday. The funding includes support for solar power and forest preservation, and a design for the proposed Neak Leung Bridge in Prey Veng province.
