Australia-based budget airline Jestar Asia has announced plans to launch services
to Cambodia and India after calling off merger talks with Singapore-based Valuair.
Jetstar Asia said that it is in the process of seeking approvals from the Cambodian
authorities to fly into Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, as well as the Indian authorities
to commence services to Kolkata.
"We will be unveiling a range of offerings with additional depth and breadth
to customers in the next few months," Ken Ryan, CEO of Jetstar Asia, said in
a press statement on July 13.
