Journalist club condemns threat

THE Cambodian Journalists Club on Friday called for authorities to take legal action against a woman who threatened to kill a Nokorwat reporter after he took photographs of her arguing with her employees in Phnom Penh’s Russei Keo district on Wednesday. Reporter Dam Sichan filed a complaint with military police on Thursday against Sok Socheata for insulting him and threatening to shoot him. The CCJ stated that the action “threatened freedom of speech”. Ya Kim Y, Phnom Penh military police deputy commander, said that he would question Sok Socheata today.
