Karate star to launch plan for land-mine film

TONY Schiena, a Hollywood action star and former captain of the United States karate team, was set to hold a press conference at the Ministry of Information this afternoon to announce his plans to produce a movie about Cambodia’s land mine scourge, the ministry said in a statement yesterday. Schiena, a former world karate champion, kicked off his acting career in 2004, starring alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in the action film Wake of Death.
