Damnak Changiaur district police in Kep province arrested two men and seized about 550 pieces of illegally logged wood yesterday morning. Phou Hok Seng, the district deputy police chief, said the arrest and seizure were made while the suspects were unloading the wood from their vehicle. “We are investigating two additional suspects who escaped when we arrived at the scene,” he said, adding that the arrest was the result of a tip-off. The suspects were being held at the provincial police station for questioning, he said.
