Cambodia has signed on to a European Commission-backed agreement with Bangladesh and the Maldives to cooperate in helping least-developed countries adapt to climate change. The agreement was reached Monday during a Global Climate Change Alliance conference in Dhaka, according to a GCCA statement. Cambodia is scheduled to receive roughly €2.2 million (US$2.7 million) from the EU-supported GCCA that is aimed at improving disaster-risk management, according to the statement.
