The Khmer Rouge tribunal has scheduled public hearings for Friday during which Pre-Trial Chamber judges will announce their rulings on detention appeals made by three regime leaders in February. The appeals came after pretrial detention for all three was extended for a third year in November. Under the court’s internal rules, if the three are not indicted by November, by which time they will have spent three years in detention, they must be released on bail.
