More than 400 villagers and monks from Phnom Penh's Meanchay district, demonstrated

in front of the Ministry of Justice on December 7 protesting against an Appeal Court

verdict on December 4 depriving them of their squatters' rights on land they have

occupied since 1991. The protesters plan to appeal to the Supreme Court.
