An exhibition of hand-woven Laotian textiles is currently being shown at the Hotel

Sofitel Cambodiana.

The fabrics, which include rich designs and techniques, were woven by American Carol

Cassidy, who has been a resident of Vientaine since l989.

She started the first wholly-owned American business in Laos in July 1990.

Cassidy has played a major role in reviving the silk weaving industry in Laos. Her

work will ber on display until January 20.
