Laos releases villagers

Two villagers who illegally crossed from Cambodia to Laos last month have been released. Sun Ban, border police commander in Stung Treng province, said the villagers were released separately on June 11 and June 15. He said that the residents of Kratie province were captured after wandering around 1,200 metres into Laos from Siem Pang district. District governor Shi Suon said on Sunday that the release followed bilateral negotiations.
