Ten members of the Krarl commune council in Samrong district, Oddar Meanchey province,

were injured, two seriously, when lightning struck a table where they had met to

resolve an electoral dispute on June 26. Five of the injured were from the Commune

Election Committee. The lightning was transmitted through a walkie-talkie being used

inside the house.
