Lightning strike kills Pursat man instantly

A 40-year-old man was killed by lightning on Tuesday while building a roof for a temple in Pursat’s Bakan district, authorities said yesterday.

District police chief Pen Song said that Phorn Ros, who died immediately, was the third person to be killed by lightning in the district this year.

According to the National Committee for Disaster Management, 40 people nationwide have been killed by lightning this year.
