Cambodia will move to protect its dwindling forests next month with the creation
of a monitoring program to try to end illegal logging, believed to have involved
the military and border police in the past, Associated Press reports. Forestry director
Ty Sokun said the program will be run jointly by the Forestry Department and the
UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
