A 42-year-old man was sent to the Kampong Chhnang Provincial Court yesterday for allegedly killing a handicapped grandfather with a machete last month.
District police chief Khem Vibol said the victim, 67-year-old Sok Chen, was fishing in a pond in Teuk Phos district with his wife and five-year-old grandson when the man attacked.
The group made a run for it, but Chen had trouble walking and received several cuts, Vibol said, adding that the attacker felt the pond belonged to him.
