A man from the US state of Connecticut pleaded guilty on September 3 to arranging
fraudulent marriages with Cambodian nationals, the Associated Press reported. The
man, 23-year-old Soursay Sikhounmeuang, admitted recruiting about 15 US nationals
to fly to Phnom Penh and marry Cambodian strangers so they could get visas to enter
the US. He faces up to ten years in jail and a $500,000 fine.
