City Mall vendors, who are disputing their rent rates, say they “weren’t listened to” during a meeting held with a Phnom Penh deputy governor Friday. Stall holders met Mann Chhoeun to discuss the fees – which have been paid since October despite the fact that City Mall will only be officially inaugurated in January 2010. Traders are also asking for a 40 percent rent cut to help them cope with the economic crisis. Mann Chhoeun could not be reached for comment Sunday.
