Memorial to be built near Diamond Island

Municipal officials in Phnom Penh said yesterday that an architect is drawing the layout for a stupa to be built near the Diamond Island bridge, where at least 351 Cambodians were killed in a stampede last week. The project will be funded by Bayon Television, the Cambodian Television Network, and the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation, which is the company developing Diamond Island.
