Ministry moves to secure holiday pay

The Ministry of Labour has issued a directive stating that all private and public companies must pay their staff for the 25 official public holidays slated for 2010. Oum Mean, a secretary of state at the ministry, said the statement was issued annually to remind employers and employees about labour laws and prevent potential conflicts. “We hope that both employers and employees will understand the law,” he said.
