A Malaysian study found that Cambodia's native Somaly rice strain can benefit people's
health. Just 30 grams a day can reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer as well
as preventing constipation and hemorrhoids. A Government official said it was a boost
to national pride, and the study's finding could help commercially promote the marketing
of the Cambodian rice.
