Two hundred and twenty seven private companies-both local and foreign-are now operating

in Cambodia, according to SPK, the State of Cambodia's official news agency.

Of these, 114 companies were formed during the first six months of this year.

In addition, 53 foreign firms which have not set up their subsidiaries in Cambodia

yet, have opened offices here to look for trade and investment opportunities.
