More weapons burned

Some 4,426 surplus weapons were destroyed in a "Flames of Peace" ceremony

on July 13 in Kampong Thom. The destruction is a part of a European Union-funded

project that also involves constructing secure arms storage. Since May 1999, over

131,000 weapons have been destroyed.
