Nady Tan retiring

Secretary-General to the Council of Ministers, Nady Tan, announced on Jan 29

that he was retiring from public life in April. Tan based his decision on personal

dissatisfaction with life as a Cambodian civil servant. Tan was one of several Funcinpec

members who broke ranks with Prince Norodom Ranariddh by opting to cooperate with

the CPP following the July 1997 coup.
