New Briefs: Kompong Thom Shelled

(AP) - Khmer Rouge guerrillas pounded United Nations posts in central Cambodia with

artillery and mortar fire in yet another attack on the peacekeepers, a U.N spokesman

said.

No U.N personnel were wounded in the May 4 attack on the capital of Kompong Thom

province, said spokesman Eric Falt.

U.N troops from China and CPAF troops armed with artillery and tanks returned fire

to repel the attackers, Falt said.
