Tit Keo Munyroath, opposition Sam Rainsy Party member and deputy head of Sambaur

commune in Kom-pong Speu, was shot dead on November 16 while riding his motorbike

one kilometer from his home. The opposition party called the slaying a premeditated

political assassination. Phi Thach, Chief of Cabinet for the SRP, said that members

face increasing threats. "If you are an SRP member then any small argument can

lead to a killing," he said.
