Representatives from seven NGOs called for political leaders whose parties won national

assembly seats to form a new government. The appeal on September 9 urged political

party leaders to adopt a political agenda including issues like strengthening the

judicial system, eliminating corruption, increasing salaries of civil servants and

preventing exploitation of women and children. The NGOs included election monitors

Comfrel and Nicfec and the human rights organizations ADHOC and LICADHO.
