The Australian government will give around US$1 million to help the country's expanded
immunization program. It will target women and children to protect them against preventable
diseases such as measles, polio, diphtheria, tetanus and tuberculosis. The World
Health Organization estimates that around 1,500 infants die each year from tetanus.
