The former Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot, was apparently poisoned by those close

to him, the Bangkok Post reported March 19. A Thai army general said an autopsy report

suggested traces of chemicals were found in his internal organs. He suggested Pol

Pot, who died in Anlong Veng on the Thai border in 1998, was killed by those close

to him after a fall-out during the movement's final days.
