Police arrest man, 70, for attempted rape

Sen Sok district police said yesterday that they would send a 70-year-old layman and cremator from Sovan Monivong pagoda to municipal court on suspicion of attempting to rape an 18-year-old student over the weekend. Suong Muk, chief of Khmuonh commune, said the alleged assault happened at Anlong Kngan primary school, where the young woman attended classes, and was prevented when family members intervened and reported the man to police.
