Police burn drugs in BattamBANG

Police in Battambang province on Wednesday incinerated a large haul of illegal drugs confiscated in recent raids, local officials said. Nuon San, a prosecutor at Battambang provincial court, said Wednesday that around 500 people turned out to watch police destroy 20,775 yama pills as well as 441 grams and a further 52 “small parcels” of crystal methamphetamine. “We held the ceremony in order to educate all the people about the consequences of drug use, which impacts both health and legal issues,” he said.
